DIPS is a plug-in software for Max.   to realize the interaction between sound and visual events.    DIPS consists of more than 370 Max external and abstruct objects,  based on Apple's Core Image technology   as well as OpenGL and OpenCV technologies.    DIPS supports the realization of   Interactive Multimedia Art    DIPS5v1.02 is released in February 2014.

DIPS (Digital Image Processing with Sound) is a plug-in software for Max of Cycling '74. DIPS, consisting of more than 370 Max external and abstract objects, is a powerful and user-friendly programming tool for the creation of interactive multimedia art. It supports to realize sophisticated real-time multiple video effects on incoming video signals and stored movie files, to create complex images in a virtual 3D space, and also to develop custom-made VJ applications, using Apple’s Core Image technology as well as OpenGL and OpenCV technologies.
DIPS version 5 can detect a performer’s motions and track the position of subtle details, such as the face, mouth, and eyes with ordinary video cameras, and also major the distance from the objects using Kinect sensor device.
The DIPS5 distribution includes more than 200 example and tutorial patches as well.
